This role is responsible for supporting the U.S. HR Operational Excellence (OpX) team in achieving their goals and objectives in support of the overall U.S HR team. The role holder will be a member of the Global Role Framework (GRF), U.S Compliance and Workday Knowledge Experts team and will be based in the Thomson Reuters office in Eagan, Minnesota.

This role ensures that the compliance area is managed effectively by providing thought leadership and project management as well as day to day hands:on operational support. This role manages the federal and state legislative responsibilities which fall under the accountability of the HR Operational Excellence group, manages vendor and back:ground check practice against global policies, the employment verification processes and ensures clear ownership in managing state and federal legislative changes and our HR OpX responsibilities. The role holder is responsible for efficient and effective escalation processes and co:ordinates the data we report in the monthly tracker.Vendor Management
:Partners with Sourcing to define background check vendor contract terms, evaluate pricing, establish service level agreements, incorporate local practices and legal regulations, and negotiate contracts
:Manages all aspects of vendor performance and quality management including monitoring/evaluating performance against KPIs, satisfaction surveys and identifying quality improvement measures. Also includes spend and ROI and other management information needs.
:Provides thought leadership and expertise on best practices, trends, and new developments in vendor management.Background Checks
:Ensures adherence and legal compliance to global stakeholders.
:Builds effective and collaborative relationships with global recruiting/HR partners to understand business needs and ensure optimum vendor service delivery and satisfaction.
:Conducts the weekly audit and follow up of all US new hires to ensure compliance with company policy
:Works with Spain, Brazil, and Argentina to ensure that a background check program is in place that is compliant with policy
:Follows up with the rest of the in:scope countries to confirm that their current practice is compliant with Global Policy
:Participates in discussions with the Employment Practice Group to discuss contractual requirements as it pertains to background checks with potential Thomson Reuters clients
:Provides support and an escalation point for system issues with our background check vendorOffer Documentation
:Updates, documents revisions and communicates changes to the offer letters.
:Partners with recruiting operations to ensure that offer letters on Taleo (our recruiting platform) are current
:Ensures that annual verbiage is added/changed at the end of the year and that new material is available to recruitersEmployment/Income Verification
:Ensures that efficient and accurate processes are in place and an effective relationship with AonHewitt.
:Identifies a way to update Talx records for those employees on international assignments so that Talx keeps their records activeState and Federal Compliance
:Ensures that efficient and effective processes are in place for ensuring compliance relating to I9's, re:verifications, EEO Posters and other state laws as appropriate
